Organic Pigments Applications & Requirements
1. Automotive Coatings
🔸 Key Requirements: High dispersion, vivid color, excellent hiding power, weather durability, non-toxic, environmentally friendly, no bleeding, and long-lasting performance.
🔹 Suggested Pigments: Medium chrome yellow, Magenta ,pigment Red 170, Lemon Yellow, pigment Red 254, etc.
2. Anti-Corrosion Coatings
🔸 Key Requirements: Strong hiding power, resistance to acids and alkalis, excellent light fastness, and anti-migration properties.
🔹 Suggested Pigments: Coated chrome yellow, phthalocyanine blue, carmine [hue], permanent red, permanent violet; also, inorganic pigments like iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow.
3. Aerosol Paints (Self-Spray Coatings)
🔸 Key Requirements: High coverage, strong color intensity, and superior weather resistance. Avoid fillers that cause settling or clumping.
🔹 Suggested Pigments: Chrome yellow, phthalocyanine green, permanent violet, etc.
4. Powder Coatings
🔸 Key Requirements: Excellent dispersion, resistance to weather and high temperatures, and good oil absorption properties.
🔹 Suggested Pigments: Hansa yellow, permanent yellow , permanent red, inorganic pigments like iron oxide yellow and iron oxide red.
5. Wood Coatings
🔸 Key Requirements: Non-toxic, eco-friendly, and resistant to migration.
🔹 Suggested Pigments: Yellow azo pigment, dark red , pigment yellow 14, pigment red 48:3, pigment yellow 83, Pigment yellow 139, Pigment Red 122, permanent violet, ultramarine, etc.
6. Floor Coatings
🔸 Key Requirements: High dispersion, weather durability, good hiding power, and stability.
🔹 Suggested Pigments: Inorganic pigments such as art green, medium chrome yellow, molybdenum chrome red, and organic pigments like Hansa yellow, phthalocyanine blue, and phthalocyanine green.
7. Pigment Printing Pastes
🔸 Key Requirements: Should not affect the viscosity, thixotropy, or elasticity of the paste. Pigments should have high color strength, brightness, excellent dispersion, and resistance to soaping and light fading.
🔹 Suggested Pigments: Benzidine yellow, pigment yellow 14, Pigment Yellow 81, naphthol red, Pigment Red 122, pigment red 48:3, phthalocyanine green, and phthalocyanine blue.
